Washington State Election Policies Devolve Further into Anarchy
Educate. Advocate. Mitigate. Activate!
Just when you thought that elections in Washington State could not get any more ridiculous, they have. Washington’s wild frontier of unprecedented “Anything Goes” elections systems is taking us into the uncharted territory of insecure elections, where none sane have dared go before.
The insane lunacy of seeking to force our elections in WA State to count ANY vote, cast anywhere, anytime, by anyone, regardless of the legitimacy, is in overdrive.
There is a troubling policy being promulgated by the WA Secretary of State, authorizing the use of online computer-generated signatures (using a computer mouse or your finger on a smart device) thru the VoteWA.gov online portal.
It appears this 2024 Primary and General Election “Pilot Program” is being used in at least three WA State counties; King, Pierce and Spokane.
Not surprisingly, this Pilot Program policy is using a Leftist software company, Democracy Live’s OmniBallot Web Application, as a vendor for VoteWa.gov. OF NOTE: Democracy Live’s OmniBallot is apparently NOT certified by the Federal government’s Election Assistance Commission (EAC), nor has it been tested by a federally accredited laboratory, as required by RCW 29A. 12.080.
This leads any rational, sane person to ask: How this can be allowed? How can this be legal? How can this be secure?
To obtain rational, sane answers to these questions is exactly why WAGOP is litigating these election issues in court!
The OmniBallot online voting system used in King County (representing nearly 1/3 of the state’s registered voters) is also being used for the King County Conservation District elections.
OmniBallot can also be used to mark ballots that will be printed and returned in the mail; the software sends the voter's identity and ballot choices to Democracy Live, an unnecessary risk that jeopardizes a voter and the secret ballot. In WA State “Pictures of Signatures” are also now allowed to be emailed or mailed in lieu of a real (pen by ink) signature.
In 2021, a pair of prominent election security researchers concluded in a study that the company’s product is riddled with flaws. “We conclude that using OmniBallot for electronic ballot return represents a severe risk to election security and could allow attackers to alter election results without detection,” Michael Specter of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and J. Alex Halderman of the University of Michigan, wrote in a published study.
This controversial online voting system is ripe for use in election manipulation, as any nefarious person could easily “OMNICHEAT” and cook the books to achieve the desired end result for their SELECTED candidate(s). Especially in consideration of WA State’s mail-in voting methods, where it is impossible to validate ballots of specific voters once they have been separated from their envelopes.
This online/mobile web-app ballot curing program was used for the 2024 WA State Primary Commissioner of Public Lands Race, in King, Pierce and Spokane counties. This statewide race had Republican Sue Kuehl Pederson comfortably in second place behind Republican Jamie Herrera Beutler and ahead of Democrat Dave Upthegrove, who was in third place by several thousand votes on election night. Ballot curing over 2,000 ballots via OmniBallot put Upthegrove in the “Top Two” with Beutler, even though most all the other Republican candidates across the state gained on their competitors (as typically late arriving ballots break Republican). The reverse trend oddly occurred in this race…
Upon conclusion of the final August primary vote tally, Upthegrove eventually ended up in second place by 51 votes over Pederson (with over 1.9 million votes counted). The race went to a statewide hand re-count and was ultimately decided by 49 votes in favor of the Democrat, leading to the loss of a guaranteed statewide Republican win and thus the WAGOP Lawsuit.
OF NOTE: About 2,092 ballots were allowed in just the King County 2024 primary election using the online OminiBallot curing method.
When a voter forgets to sign the envelope containing their ballot or when the signature on the envelope does not match what is on the voter’s registration record, “Ballot Curing” is necessary. This is the notification and correction process of informing a voter to Fix/Cure their signature so their vote is counted, per WAC 434-261-053.
It appears that the corrupt office of the Washington SoS is interpreting RCW 29A.60.165 - Unsigned Ballot Declarations per their written WAC 434-261-053 - Ballot Declaration Signature Cure Process and permits this online vote curing IN A STATE-WIDE ELECTION, by allowing voters to use a ridiculous online “Chicken Scratch” signature verification method.
OF MORE CONCERN is that the ballot curing Pilot Program being used in the 2024 elections in King, Pierce and Spokane counties incorporates a website that appears to have eliminated all other required identifying information options (last 4 digits of SS #, DL#, utility bill, etc.), after the 2024 primary and prior to the 2024 general elections, see: www.kce.wiki/SigCure
It is already bad enough that this online method is being used in the 2024 statewide elections in these counties. Now it appears that the only ballot cure method required is an additional signature, without any proof of ID!
OF NOTE: By removing the security protocol options it violates the SoS’s own WAC 434-261-053.
(5) (b) (i) The last four digits of the voter's Social Security number or the voter's full driver's license, instruction permit, or state identicard number;
(ii) Photo identification, valid enrollment card of a federally recognized Indian tribe in Washington state, copy of a current utility bill or current bank statement, copy of a current government check, copy of a current paycheck, or a government document, other than a voter registration card, that shows both the name and address of the voter;
Worse yet, the OMNICURE “Online Ballot Solution” inserts these new computer and/or smart phone Mouse or Finger “Chicken Scratch” signatures into a voter’s permanent signature file.
A voter’s online signature, via mouse or finger on a screen, would almost never match their signatures from paper/pen like voter registration or driver’s license signatures. If voters’ continually use this method, after several elections voter’s signatures on file will include dozens of completely different looking chicken scratch signatures. Thus future “Signature” matching efforts would be futile, and ANYONE can sign and remit a chicken scratch signature in any future election using this software.
Now just imagine that anyone can sign into the portal, use another voter’s name and birth date (or even make up a new name and birth date to register), sign the form online, and remit a ballot for any “voter.” That new fake signature would get added to the voter registration file, allowing the fake signature in ALL future elections!
Envision this: A county election worker receives a new chicken scratch signature, opens the voter registration record, and tries in frustration to identify which of the many chicken scratch signatures best match in order to validate the ballot.
Hmm…What could go wrong when a Leftist Organization can send out rejected ballot text messages via a WEB APP to “Registered Voters” cell phones to have them cure their ballot signatures via OMNICHEAT, the system that also has access to all of your past and future chicken scratches…
Now, you can clearly see why I refer to this new program as “OMNICHEAT,” as any nefarious person can steal a bunch of mail-in ballots (or use VoteWA.gov to print or mail) and mail them, watching for them to be rejected, and then can fraudulently cure them much easier using this new SoS policy.
It is incomprehensible that the SoS does not recognize this…Of course they do!
Let’s face it, the Democrats creating this OMNICHEAT system have absolutely lost their minds! Absent any other voter ID mechanism, the “Signature” has become virtually meaningless, and does not properly identify anyone!
OF FURTHER CONCERN: Recent public records requests indicate that after the current election the SoS and Democracy Live are now planning a “Custom Development” process to make this online Ballot Curing method statewide policy in ALL 39 counties beginning in April of 2025!
ODDLY, after several months of waiting for Public Records Requests, King County still to this day has refused or can’t provide their contract / agreement with Democracy Live/OmniBallot. What else do they have to hide?
The naivete of the utopian dream society Undemocratic-Democrats continues! Our corrupt Democrat controlled state is simply not running elections legitimately, instead pushing us towards having as the ONLY remaining security protocol, that being relying only on “an oath” and a “chicken scratch.”
These policies ignorantly and pathetically assume that no criminals exist in the world who'd gladly utilize every open door and easy path to election fraud possible. These ridiculous and dangerous digital online voting methods must be immediately exposed and banned!
Let’s hope the WAGOP Lawsuit challenging this insanity is heard soon so we can put an end to any use of technologies that weaken our election systems via third party entities such as Democracy Live.
